EXPLORE AMAZON BASIN
Seeking rare tobaccos is kind of our thing,
but even frequent travelers have favorite adventures that rise to the top. For us, it was our journey to craft Amazon Basin. It all began with a tip-off of a tobacco called Bragança (bruh-gahn-cuh) cultivated at small farms in the most remote parts of the Amazonian Rainforest.
Only grown on virgin lands
using no fertilizers or chemicals, Bragança tobacco can only be harvested every three years. After harvest, the leaves are rolled by hand into tubes called “carottes” and left to rest under high pressure. After six months inside the carottes, the tobacco is transported by canoe – yes, seriously – from the rainforest and delivered to our factory.
RARE FLAVORS OF THE BRAGANçA LEAF
are then combined by our blend masters with a five-country collection of tobaccos, maximizing it's effect. Amazon Basin has a reputation that precedes it, and it all started with a step into the unknown.
