La Traviata Divino Ranks #15 in Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 Cigars of 2010

CAO La Traviata Divino
Perhaps the finest cigar ever made by CAO International Inc., the robusto-sized CAO La Traviata Divino represents a departure from the traditional type of cigar release for CAO. The company usually announces a new cigar with a considerable flash, such as when it launched the unique lighted boxes of CAO. Vision or the ultra-hip red lacquer box shaped like the trunk of a car for the CAO Sopranos Series. But with the La Traviata brand, CAO simply let the cigar speak for itself. Packed in plain, wooden containers, the Divino, which was released in U.S. cigar shops very late in 2009 (too late, in fact, to be part of last year’s Top 25 ranking), is a solid performer, a no-nonsense meaty and spicy smoke with notes of nuts and dark chocolate. And with a suggested retail price of only $4.95, it’s an amazing bargain as well.

Earlier this month I went to the Palmetto Breeze smoke shop in Rock Hill, SC and one of the part time employees suggested this cigar for me. I usually smoke a Butera or a AVO but for the money I think the La Traviata won me over. It's a great golf cigar and smooth smoke. Thank you CAO you created a new customer.

    Mike -

La Traviata is only available at fine brick and mortar retailers throughout the country. If your local store doesn't carry them - ask them to bring them in!

They were closed out to Famous Smoke Shop late last year due to poor sales. You can still grab them there, or there are some stores that may still have some laying around. That's not to say we won't look at that blend again down the road. You aren't the first person to mention that Vision is your favorite.

CAO is my favorite brand bar none. I started with the Cameroon, and enjoy the look and taste of the America. But my all time favorite is the Vision, why did they get discontinued?

I tried my first Latraviata last night. It was great!, I had stopped by my local cigar shop and was looking for a affordable every day cigar that was on the same level as the higher priced cigars I have come to cherish. The clerk at the shop suggested the CAO Latraviata based on what other brands I had been spending my budget on. and I was finally successful in finding what I have been searching for . affordable well made med. bodied cigar that taste great! I can't wait to load my humidor with more.

Thanks Ken. Binder is a Cameroon, so you're covered there. Hopefully you've discovered the CAO Cameroon as well.
