Introducing Concert

I can't believe that I'm sitting down to write about my second cigar for CAO...Believe it or not, I started to think about the blend for this cigar back in March of 2011. Ed and I knew back then that we wanted to honor CAO's hometown in some way. So when we started to think about Nashville, we automatically thought of music...

I think the most genuine celebration of music is a concert. So when I started to think about which tobaccos to use in the blend for a cigar we were going to call Concert, I wanted to achieve the perfect harmony of flavor and body, just like when a singer is in harmony with the band. I hope that when you get to smoke the cigar, you'll get what I set out to accomplish with the blend.

In less than two weeks, we’ll officially debut the cigar to retailers at the IPCPR show. The excitement for me is building, just like when you're in an arena and the lights go down, and you can feel the electricity in room, and you’re itching for the curtain to rise so that your favorite band can start playing. I’m that excited about Concert.

    Thanks William. You're one of the few who have thought this cigar to be mild, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Whether you think it mild, medium, or full, we hope we've created a cigar that everyone can enjoy.

    We will be there!

    Glad you gave us your feedback. Some news on the O cigar coming out very soon (actually some is already out there on the web - we'll post official word very soon).

    I am a Cigar Ambassador for General Cigars and was gifted a sampler of CAO Concert and have to say they are a really good mild cigar. The construction was flawless the draw was perfect and the ash held on very well. I would definitely recommend that everyone give this cigar a try as soon as they can get their hands on them. Well done Rick!

    Great cigar, Rick. You're always a good host at the Cigar Events. You did an excellent job on this one. Thanks.

    My son is a manager at Corona in Orlando. He brought me a Concert from the trade show. I'm smoking it now (about 1.5 inches left). This is a real winner. Congratulations.

    I smoked and rated all three of the "Last Stick Standing" CAO cigars, but was not able to negotiate the website to enter the contest. The grades I arrived at are:
    C = 7
    A= 8
    O= 9
    I rated the "O" having 9's across the board for flavor, body, construction and ash.

    Will you be back home and in attendance at the "Tampa Cigar Bash on October 20th? I have a friend flying in from South Dakota, and we have VIP tickets. I'm sure he would like to meet you.

    Regards,
    John
